The first day of sophomore year began with my mom dropping me off then me going to breakfast seeing everyone I know. My first period was Band, and that’s my favorite class. Plus I already had my music because I attended band practice over the summer. I walked into the band hall then came across all my friends. It was great being back there even though it hadn’t been a week or two since I was there before. Sitting down I see Maria, who also plays Baritone all we hoped for was more baritones because two graduated last year, so it is just her and me. First looking at my schedule, it seemed pretty good I had all the right classes, but then I didn’t see ASL. I saw Spanish two instead, which isn’t bad at all because I am mexican. I took Spanish one eighth-grade year and ASL one last year. Therefore I technically have two language credits, but I don’t think it counts because there different. Going back to the point in every single one of my classes, I have friends there. That’s not a surprise because I’m a social person so I have a lot of friends and can easily make more I believe it’s a skill that is very useful. The first day is usually when you ask people for there schedule to see if you have classes together or pass them in the hall. I believe the only thing I don’t like is the assigned seats; I think people work and interact better when there with someone they know. I know teachers don’t like the talking, but they’re just making it worse because now kids start yelling across the class and turning around and it is even more distracting. Teachers don’t interact with students as they should; that’s why most kids hate school because it’s the teacher that affects our learning more than our friends. All in all, I think the start of the year was a great way to begin. I’m just ready to see what happens in the future.
